<title>GM looking to buy Chrysler?</title>

<link>http://www.midatlanticsrt.com/srt/news_archive.asp?newsid=227</link>

<description>The internet is abuzz this afternoon with rumors of talks between DCX and GM concerning the purchase of the Chrysler group. Hopefully this will pan out to be false&#44; as it would mean certain doom for Chrysler. Granted Chrysler hasn&#39;t been setting the world on fire lately&#44; but they are at least coming off of profitable years&#44; whereas GM just doesn&#39;t seem to be able to make any progress whatsoever.

So what do you guys think? Would a GM acquisition of Chrysler mean the end of the Viper and SRT? Personally I don&#39;t see GM letting them live on being that their own products cannot compete. I guess we could look forward to 3 more brands to slap different badges onto uninspiring designs being that GM seems to be interested in nothing else.

We&#39;re waiting on the edge of our seats for updates on this.. stay tuned... </description>
